A short story

Can you recall the last time you were really angry at someone?

Rarely this feeling of anger help us in getting what we want. Too often it works against us, resulting in more pain.
From now on, try to get rid of the misunderstanding or problem as soon as possible.
Remember, that feeling resentment, anger, or any negative emotions attracts it back to you.

Today, I came across this short story and I decided to share it with you.
Wishing you all a lovely evening and happy reading.

Sand and Stone

A story tells that two friends were walking through the desert. During some point of the journey they
had an argument and one friend slapped the other one in the face. The one who got slapped was hurt, but without saying anything, wrote in the sand:
"TODAY MY BEST FRIEND SLAPPED ME IN THE FACE."

They kept on walking until they found an oasis, where they decided to take a bath. The one, who had been slapped, got stuck in the mire and started drowning, but the friend saved him. After the friend recovered from the near drowning, he wrote on a stone:
"TODAY MY BEST FRIEND SAVED MY LIFE."

The friend who had slapped and saved his best friend asked him,
"After I hurt you, you wrote in the sand and now, you write on a stone, why?"
The other friend replied:
"When someone hurts us, we should write it down in sand where winds of forgiveness can erase it away. But, when someone does something good for us, we must engrave it in stone where no wind can ever erase it, so we can remember it."

LEARN TO WRITE YOUR HURTS IN THE SAND AND TO CARVE YOUR BENEFITS IN STONE

Always remember the good things others do for you. Remember the good things in life and let them inspire you to even greater heights in life.

"To forgive is the highest, most beautiful form of love. In return, you will receive untold peace and  happiness."

  1. People should appreciate everything what have in life, don't only look at bad sides of life and let yourself notice good things and that's the key of being happy and positive. It's really great story, keep writing your blog.

    never forget about smiling. ;)

  2. Breeding anger in our hearts only gives us nothing but resentment and sadness; and forgiveness is the only antidote to this.
